How to Clean Bathroom Tile Easily

Aside from the kitchen, one of the important rooms in the house that always needs to be clean is the bathroom. There are a variety of shower designs now that show water spots or dirty grout lines more than ever.  This is part of the problem with modern glass and tile designs in the bathroom.  A tiled bathroom can quickly show signs of neglect.  If you notice, the shower grout becomes very dirty compared to the other parts of the bathroom. This is because it always gets wet. When the surface is consistently wet, the mold and mildew build up easily and fast. If you don’t clean it on a regular basis , molds and mildew will be very hard to remove.

  • For best results, it is recommended to spray the tile cleaner in the shower before proceeding to scrub. Leave it for 15 minutes. This will allow the stubborn dirt and mildew to dislodge. Pre-spraying also helps in restoring the original look and color of the grout.
  • After the spraying comes the scrubbing. You can use a brush to scrub off the dirt. Scrubbing will be easier because the dirt is falling off already. You might want to use a deck brush attached to a pole so you don’t hurt your back while scrubbing. Rinse it thoroughly and wipe it dry after.
  • It is a good idea to clean the bathroom while taking a shower. You can get wet and dirty while doing it so might as well shower while you are busy in the bathroom. The reagent or tile cleaner will have plenty of time to react. Rinsing it off will be easier too. Wipe it dry with a rag or a towel after to seal its cleanliness.

If you are looking for a new style of bathroom, consider a shower without doors.  This type of walk in shower has less in the way of glass to clean and you may end up with a floor that has no grout or tiles to worry about, too.
