Select Between A Hard and A Soft Mattress

There are a wide variety of brands and types of mattresses out in the market today and each claims that it is the best and offers the most comfortable sleeping experience.  It is no small job to find what is the best mattress for you and one thing you should keep in mind is that each person is different; what is comfortable and just right for one person may not cut the mustard for you. Make sure to read mattress reviews before buying any mattress

Having said that, there are a few things that are ‘across the board’ no matter who you are.  Soft mattresses, while they do feel quite comfortable and many people like them, are known to cause upper back pain after awhile as they do not offer the proper support your spine needs.  If you are prone to upper back pain, or if you are pregnant, you will want to avoid a mattress that is too soft and go for something harder.

Hard mattresses do have their good points in that they are better for your back, however, they can cause lower back pain if you get one that is too hard.  So your best bet would be to get something that strikes a happy medium – not too soft and not too hard and firm.  There are a number of semi-soft mattresses and semi-hard mattresses on the market to choose from.

Another good option is the memory foam mattress.  It is made in such a way that it fits to the shape of your body while you sleep and many people with back problems find this type of mattress to be just the right thing for them.  You will want to get one that is lower foam density, somewhere around four pounds of foam is good.  Not only is it cheaper but it is better for your spinal muscles than the higher density memory foam mattress.  You can also get spring coil mattresses and if you do, make sure to choose one that has fewer springs to it, as it is better for your back and more durable as the springs are made quite a bit thicker. Serta Pure response is a good brand and you should read all the Serta Pure Response review
