The shape of the ottoman will depend on the type of item it is made to coordinate with. Some styles are made as chunky or block designs that have very short legs on the bottom. These ottoman sofa bed pieces are made to look like a cube, with fabric that hangs to the floor. It is made with the idea of having a footrest that could match any decor using the ottoman slipcovers (that are typically sold separately) to cover it when not being used as a bed. You could call these items pieces of cube furniture, but they are really a better fit into the bed and mattress category because of how they are used.
